works during the day teaching physical education to Riverton Middle School students. In the evenings, she sings alto with the IS Chorus on Tuesdays and spends time with her family. The activities she enjoys otherwise are walking, golfing, and singing in her church choir at Laurel United Methodist Church.
Cindy's most memorable experience with the ISC was when we performed the Berlioz Requiem Mass with choirs from Illinois Wesleyan, Illinois State Community and Concert choirs PLUS a giant orchestra. This performance "moved her soul!"
Her message to other choral members is "the rewards of sacrificing personal time to make beautiful music are too numerable to record. Each performance is a unique experience. ISC
is an outlet for the musical side of my personality, as well as great therapy for my mental health after a stressful day or week of teaching!"
Cindy has sung a total of fourteen years on the Illinois Symphony Chorus. You can E-mail her here: henhouse6@juno.com
